Apple Corps

http://apple-corps.westnet.com/apple_corps.2.html

Do you want to play on your computer?  Visit Apple Corps . Very creative in its own way;

you could create an interesting art!  Click the piece you want and then drag it to the apple or to any other vegetable you have chosen. Click on the button ‘Change the vegetable’ on the lower part of the page.

Between the Lions

http://pbskids.org/lions/

An early literacy site for children ages 4-7.  Lionel and Leona are the main characters in this excellent site as part of PBS Kids.  An award-winning program, it includes stories with colorful illustrations like The Sad Dad, Clickety-clack, Clickety-Clack, Little Big Mouse, and several others.

Nanay and Tatay, if your child is not reading yet, this is a site to make reading activity fun and interesting.  Read the stories to him/her. Levels of reading in this site vary, so choose the story that fits to your child’s level.

This site is also full of coloring pages that you could print. Get a box of crayola; give the printout of images to your child; and there you’ll find out that imagination and creativity will flow!

Chateau Meddybemps

http://www.meddybemps.com/

Whether you are a 4-year old learning to read or a Nanay/Tatay or Lola/Lolo finding a way for your children/grandchildren to love reading, you will love this wonderful creation of Jerry and Susan Jindrich,  a husband-wife team from Indiana, United States. Full of 'beantime' stories and games that are colorful, full of imagination, and original works.  I am sure that after finding the streets in Meddybemps, you will always go back for an exciting adventure.

I am excited about this site; I hope you are also eager to visit this. I contacted Jerry and Susan via e-mail, and they are very pleased that I am introducing their work to my kabaleyans.

Goodnight Stories

http://www.goodnightstories.com/

I love this site because of its picture stories. Though I am not very young (!) the story of The Hiccup Mouse entertains me. More stories of different types – short, long, poems, stories by kids, and others make this story place wonderful !

There are also coloring pages – you name it!   Color a panda, zebra, butterfly, or anything that you will find in these pages. After coloring a page, hang it on your wall.

I am pretty sure that your Nanay or Tatay or Kuya or Ate will love your art work.

Internet Public Library – Story Hour

http://www.ipl.org/youth/StoryHour/

A worldwide library in the Internet, the IPL [Internet Public Library] has a great story hour place for children of very young age through children who have higher reading skills.

Read the story of The Lilypad to your 4 or 5-year old, and before you know it, his or her creativity will be enriched!   The other story in this wonderful place is The Tortoise and the Hare, an interesting reading for young children about Elbert, a hare; written and illustrated by Rebeccah Kamp.  More interesting stories in this exciting library.
